Under one roof is a project cooperated with MPSJ. the purpose of the Community Center is open to public and serves them as home feeling. Although, we all come from different families. But at the moment, we are families ,to having funs, chat, and even study together people can still feel at ease, relaxed and happy under this roof.
And why do I think that? This is because I think home is a very people longing for. It's fun to be under the same roof and help each other and talk about everything. Home is also a place to rest and work. Unfortunately, not everyone's home is so perfect, for example, there is not enough room for fitness equipment. So there needs to be a public place to do what you want to do as much as possible
Home is not a place…it’s a feeling.” “What I love most about my home is who I share it with.” “There is nothing more important than a good, safe, secure home. Home, It is the sweetest place in the world. When we sense danger elsewhere we find safety in our home. When there is joy, we share it with other members. Everybody loves home. For this reason are English poet has written:
“Home, home, sweet home, There is no place like home.”

my first thought in this project was to design a place where people can communicate with each other and also accomplish things. So I chose to use a lot of glass element to make everyone's barriers invisible. Could Let everyone know you. At the same time, glass allows sunlight to penetrate into the room to form a beautiful effect, and also allows more natural light in the interior.
Later, I began to think about what the people in this community are lacked. So I started the investigation, and after I got the conclusion, I found that the people here are very busy and there is no time to exercise and there are many young people and students nearby. Everyone seems to love to shake around after school, or to find a coffee shop to sit down to complete their homework or chat with friends. Ever since, I started to have an idea, a place where everyone can enjoy time. I want people to think of a place where they can gather to play and chat with friends. A place where people can get their work done.

In order to attract the attention of others, I must find something interesting. In Malaysia, everyone seems to like to watch movies. It is a very happy thing to imagine that everyone is watching a movie and sharing and discussing the plot of the movie with friends afterwards. So I think this might work. Next, only a movie theater is not enough. Is there anything more fun in the world than everyone getting together to play games? right. When everyone has a common topic, the relationship can be consolidated. So I put these things in the common area, in addition, the game also needs some exercise. Is there anything that can be more practical than fitness? I guess no, a healthy community cannot do without fitness. After that, maybe you can put a library in. This library has some special ideas. Abandoning the previous presentation, the arrangement of multiple cabinets is dense, and I want a place that can be open/variable. You can configure some movable furniture. After all, the times are different. Now everyone has a phone or computer, and information is easy to find, so some books can be replaced. It is convenient for the public to keep only some essential books. It is not so much a library as it is a place where people can communicate, where everyone can discuss homework and hold meetings.
Oh, I almost forgot, staying here for a long time will inevitably be a little hungry, so of course we need a place for everyone to solve the hunger. A small coffee shop, just think about it, occasionally you will smell the aroma of coffee in the room, which immediately makes the whole feeling happy. Afterwards, I feel that I can join a cooking class, where some idle cooking enthusiasts will communicate with each other.

Lastly, of course, the purpose of these is ultimately to make everyone feel at home. Even if we are not from the same family, we are under the same roof at this moment. We are one family.
